Colour In Motion 2014
Colour In Motion - Form, shape, texture, colour, line and movement - elements of the visual world - have always fascinated me and of late i have explored them in a way, coming up with paintings that may be called, if you like, abstract contemporary. My travels have also helped in shaping my understanding of art and of myself.
Nebulous Moment 2017
The Nebulous Moment series is "experiential" and "in the moment" artworks - exercises in an ongoing art practice.
These 'Nebulous Moments' are ambiguous, indeterminate, indistinct and simple yet profound moments to experience = moments of losing and rediscovering oneself in the process = resulting in a piece of painting.
These moments are also spontaneous, free in spirit, independent, exploratory and is without inhibition - always seeking a truth.
Therapeutic readings look towards investigating oneself and unlocking our inner depths - viewing the self as work in progress.
There isnt a specific message to be conveyed with each painting, but rather providing a 'sensory experience' - that of 'feeling' and an 'intuitive response' from the viewers.

Aleatoric Series.. inspired and defined as dependant on chance, luck and uncertain outcome. It is the incorporation of chance.. as the process and energy of creation. Like music, it is subject to improvisation or structured randomness. It relies on the painters chance decisions while painting.
Painter.. is only in control of the palette, guides the application of the paint and mark-making.. acts as the gateway between the subconscious nature and the canvas.. representing a transitory space in between. Not knowing the end result or the final outcome, is what keeps the adrenaline flowing.
